Ronaldo began Cristiano Ronaldo career as a youth player at C.D. Nacional and Cristiano Ronaldo successes with the team led to a move to Sporting Clube de Portugal two seasons afterwards. Cristiano ronalo dos Santos Aveiro was born on 5 February 1985 in Funchal, Madeira, the youngest child of Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and José Dinis Aveiro. The surgery took place in the morning and Ronaldo was discharged from hospital by the end of the afternoon; Cristiano Ronaldo resumed training only a few days later.Cristiano Ronaldo was first spotted by then-Liverpool F.C. manager Gérard Houllier at 16, but Liverpool declined to take Cristiano Ronaldo on because they decided Cristiano Ronaldo was too young and needed some time to develop Cristiano Ronaldo skills. However, Cristiano Ronaldo came to the attention of Manchester United F.C. manager Alex Ferguson in the summer of 2003, when Sporting defeated United 3–1 in the inauguration of the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.
