Commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on February 5th, 1985, in Portugal. Currently, Ronaldo plays for English Premier League club Manchester United and the Portuguese national team. His position – right winger (midfielder who is stationed in a wide position near the touchlines.)
Ronaldo has only one older brother, named Hugo, and two older sisters, whose names are Elma, and Liliana Catia. Liniana is a professional singer, with the stage name ‘Ronalda’. Liniana (along with the rest of the family) lives in Portugal. His mom and dad named Ronaldo after the former actor and USA President – Ronald Reagan.On 4 July, Elizondo clarified that the red card was due to Rooney’s infraction and not the fracas between Rooney and Ronaldo that followed.
Ronaldo’s autobiography, titled Moments, was published in December 2007.Along with one of his sisters, Ronaldo opened a fashion boutique under the name “CR7″ (his initials and shirt number). There are currently two CR7 store locations, both of which are in Portugal; one in Lisbon and the other in Madeira.On 1 July 2006 during During a quarter-final match against England, Ronaldo’s United teammate Wayne Rooney was sent off for stamping on Portugal defender Ricardo Carvalho.
